A Fresh Start for America
There are lots of ways to describe the chart to the left. But to us, one word suffices: UNFAIR.
Are the people with the obscenely high incomes in 2025 any smarter, more capable, or more virtuous than the high-income earners of 1985? If not, then there income gains over this period should be closer the medium for all Americans -- 73%, not 326%.
We do not believe that this massive gain in income (and, along with it, wealth) is due to individual superiority or superior effort or even awesome luck. It is due to a system that is fundamentally screwed to help the rich, the powerful, and the connected.
And that is not right, not moral, and not fair.
So let's change it.
And that is what Let's Start Over is all about.
